Champion Sound Live with Maggie 8 Thur 29th May

An exciting line-up of artists has been revealed for Shaanti’s Eastern Electronic Festival’s New Music Showcase at Town Hall Symphony. Champion Sound Live present the Best of British, a music extravaganza, featuring live music during May.

Showcasing the best unsigned and newly-signed talent to the UK’s music industry. This is a platform for talented individuals from an eclectic mix of musical genres and styles.

Since our launch in early 2009, Champion Sound Live has established itself as one of the best places to hone new talent and we’re proud to add Maggie 8 to this year’s list.

There are few bands that are able to create their own genre but Maggie 8 have done exactly that. Their music incorporates a range of styles, from Western Folk and Indie Styles with Hindi Raags to Bollywood. The unusual mix of genres definitely works and has certainly never been done before.

The four-piece band, is fronted by Nivedita Pisharoty, who grew up in India. Since forming Maggie 8 in 2009, the band has released their material through record labels Dance to the Radio and Total Confidence Records. They are now in the final stages of preparing their next release.

Expect vivid interpretations live at Symphony Hall, with a post-show conversation with the band.
